Why I started Hikmah Tutors?
During my time at university studying Mathematics, I faced something that far too many students experience: lectures that felt disconnected, fast-paced topics that lacked clarity, and overcrowded classrooms that left little room for individual support. I often felt lost, not because I wasn’t capable, but because the teaching methods simply weren’t effective for the way I learn.
This experience stayed with me. I realised that countless students in GCSE and A-Level face the same problem; not a lack of ability, but a lack of support that suits them.

What subjects and levels do you offer tutoring for?
We specialise in GCSE and A-Level tutoring for Maths, English, and the three Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), tailored to all major UK exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and Eduqas. We also offer support for additional subjects such as Computer Science and Design & Technology. If you have any specific subjects, just get in touch with us through the contact form.
How does online tutoring work?
All lessons are delivered via Microsoft Teams, using Miro — an interactive online whiteboard — to support visual learning. Each student has their own personal Miro board, where lesson notes, diagrams, and resources are saved and accessible at any time.
What do I need for the lessons?
You’ll just need a device (laptop, tablet, or desktop) with internet access and the ability to join Microsoft Teams.
For the best experience, we recommend using headphones and, if possible, a stylus or touchscreen device — but these are not essential.
